The career placement office at CIMS is highly active, facilitating visits from numerous multinational companies, which conduct recruitment drives, offering opportunities to many talented students. The office maintains a comprehensive student database detailing their interests and expertise. It initiates discussions with potential recruiters and launches placement training programs for students, gathering their resumes and portfolios. The on-campus placement process commences with informative sessions led by recruiters, followed by a series of assessments, portfolio presentations, and interviews. Upon completion, offer letters are collected for the selected students and distributed accordingly.
Cheriathundam Scholarship
Joining hands with the Cheriathundam family, CIMS has introduced a scholarship for the needy and deserving students. Every year, a sum of rupees three lakh is spent for this purpose. The eligibility for scholarship is decided on the basis of academic performance, character, attendance and financial background.
Inspired by the saying “healthy mind in a healthy body” the college promotes practising and participating in sports and games. Besides providing the students with facilities to play football, volley ball and badminton, sports days are also conducted every year to encourage other athletic competitions competitions.
College can be a stressful time for a lot of students. Effective stress management in young people goes a long way in their success. The benefits of counseling for college students include enhancement of their listening and social skills as well as empathy towards others. They will learn to express emotions (i.e. anger, frustration, fear) through a healthy way, plus they get to improve their decision-making skills. The benefits of counseling in general also include reliable social support from forming healthy peer relationships.
Counseling sessions are held by professional counselors every day within the campus itself. It is made sure that each student gets a session every semester. Counselors help identify the problems of the students and help overcome them. These sessions motivate and accompany the students in their path of realizing their dreams.
In conformity with Supreme Court judgements and directions, UGC guidelines and State Government Instructions, Christ Institute of Media Science is following ‘Zero-Tolerance policy’ towards ragging. Any student of Christ Institute of Media Science accused and found guilty of ragging, will be severely dealt with, in accordance with the Provisions of the Law.
Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. It is now defined as an act that violates or is perceived to violate an individual student’s dignity. Ragging is totally banned in the campus and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or helping ragging is liable to be punished as it is criminal offence.Christ Institute of Media Science ensures strict compliance on the prevention of Ragging in the form.
The anti-ragging committee is constituted to safeguard the students from both physical and verbal bullying from other students on the campus. The committee consists of five staff members to spread awareness against ragging and to safeguard students from any instance of ragging.
Centre for Youth (C4Y) is working as Monitoring Agency in association with the Ministry of Education, Government of India and the University Grant Commission (UGC), Government of India to support the National Ragging Prevention Programme in the country.

The anti-drugs cell of the college has been constituted to ensure a drug- free society by imposing a total ban on the possession or consumption or use of drugs and alcohol by students of the college, within or outside the campus/hostels.
The duties of the anti-drugs cell include organizing awareness programmes in the college and hostels with the help of government authorized agencies/ organizations. Educating the students about the ill-effects of drugs and alcohol, encouraging peer policing among students against the use of drugs and reporting of any noticed use of drugs by the students to the student’s affairs committee are also the duties of the anti-drugs cell.
Various awareness programmes are organized to enlighten students. They are shown short films and street plays are performed to restrict the students from drug abuse.
